Paramedic
Hi, I have a 5.5 nano that has been established for about a year. I have a single small oscellaris clown and a skunk cleaner along with a pair of turbo snails and a blue legged hermit that has been around since day one. I've had a rather large hair algae outbreak, (had been battling cyano which is now under control, so it's not as unwelcome as it would be for most) and have noticed a number of pink tubeworms sprouting around the tank. Initially only noticed one, but now have about 5 that I'm aware of. Unfortunately, they're extremely camera shy and would not come out for a pic. Will try to update soon, but here's one of a very small portion of one hiding in the LR. They are about 1/8" in diameter and up to 4" long. Help would be appreciated. Thanks much! Jim Link to comment
Angel
Sounds like a bristleworm. If it is, then you have many more. They are also good for the tank. Link to comment
birdman204
do they stay in one place in a calcified shell? or move around? Link to comment
Paramedic
Haven't noticed them moving other than just in and out of their "home" They definitely fit the description and images found on bristleworms and I'm convinced that that is what they are. Thanks for looking! Link to comment
