debris in water

SO i just did my water changed and noticed alot of particles floating around in the water. Is that normal or a sign that i need a better filter or time for a skimmer? I aslo have a aquaclear 500 that im goin to convert to a refugium with a surface skimmer, would that help any?

Most likely you just stirred up some sediment when you poured the replacement water in. Everything should clear up in a few hours.

Yep. If it's a mulmy type of sediment, you can use a little airline tubing to siphon it off of LR or in areas where it collects. It will eventually settle out if the aquaclear 500 doesn't remove it.
