Aiptasia Posted February 27, 2004 Share Posted February 27, 2004 You can do eet. The problem is, you'll need to scrape algae off the inside of the aquafuge. This isn't so bad really, as microalgaes are actually better at removing DOC's than macroalgaes. Most algae scrubbers use micro instead of macro algae, growing unicellular or turf algaes on eggcrate or white plates, to be scraped off as they burn DOC's to grow. You can scrape the microalgaes that are sure to grow in there off with a plastic credit card. A small snail or two might not be a bad idea either in your refugium. Link to comment
