arpanlib
hi all, i would like to know if anybody has made a chiller by himself and was it successful??? i was planning to make a chiller using TITANIUM as the water continer or passage which will be passed through copper. the copper will contain the CFC gas and will be connected to the refigerator compressor. thus the titanium will be cooled and as the water flows by, it will pick the chill from the titanium tubes. please let me know what you all think about it. arpanlib Link to comment
anthony812
sounds good..but NO COPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was thinking about just fetting a small cube refrigerator and stick my canaster filter inside and drill the sides so the tubes will come out...an instant chiller! what i am afraid of is over cooling! vanillabox
if you have access to titanium for cheep I would suggest a box plumbed with pvc and on top of the box put a heat exchanger (heat sink) plus a fan. you can even go one step further and put an electrothermal transfer heat exchanger on top for faster heat transferance.
