Sharkie
It has been 6 mths since i have been up and running, and live stock is going well. Can anyone suggest some low light corals that are reasonably bulletproof? Im guessing mushrooms, but would like a few other ideas Link to comment
Tempest
Depends onwhat you consider to be "low light." How much light do you have? Corals that do well with 3-5 watts per gallon as a rule of thumb are mushrooms, ricordea, green star polyps, zoanthids, open brains and gorgoninans (though the gorgos are really hard to keep). rehren
mushrooms, zooanthids, small pieces of hammer, torch or frogspawn, star polyps... do a search for 'low light coral' as well. Link to comment
Arden
Don't get confused with true low light (non photosinthetic coral) which require heavy feeding. These corals are very difficult to keep especially in a nano if for no other reason than all the feeding will pollute the tank. Link to comment
NanoReefer10000
what kind of lighting does a flowerpot require? i have a 96wat over a 10 gallon and would like one Link to comment
bobioden
Sharkie, knowing what kind of light you have, would make it easier to suggest what types of corals. Link to comment
Tempest
Flowerpots should be left in the ocean. No one knows exactly WHAT their care requirements are and they typically die in home aquariums in 6 to 12 months. Link to comment
