peppermint22
Hi! What's the minimum tank size for a Clark's clownfish? How big do they grow to? What is their hardiness level relative to the ocellaris clownfish? Link to comment
Aiptasia
For a single fish? 5-10 gallons would be a minimum. Average adult size is 2-3" long. Both clarkii and ocellaris are very hardy fish, but I would recommend you read up on how to properly cycle a tank and care for them previous to purchasing one. The last thing we need is to kill another nemo, right? Link to comment
mogurnda
[edited to sound less snippy] I am surprised that you give such a small size for adult clarkiis. I rarely see spawning females under 4", and they can easily reach 5" in tanks of local reefers here. Seems like 10 gallons is a bit small. Link to comment
jaguilar
ditto to what mo' said. the clarkii can become rather beast-like. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...d=21&pCatId=103 up to 6"... that thing would need at least 20 gallons. seen one at my lfs that was about 5 1/2", and that dude was scary. i feel sorry for the poor guy that has to stick his hands in that tank(finger food).... brahm
a 6" fish I would think would need alot more then a 20 gallon tank, figuring you would have Live Rock, and other misc stuff in there taking up a good amount of room. Link to comment
