goose240
I think this should fix the scratches without having to take out my livestock. http://www.amazon.com/Lifeguard-Aquatics-S...s/dp/B004K8303C Link to comment
glazer
That kit is meant to take on scratches on the outside of the tank. The kits meant to remove scratchs from a tank filled with water are nothing more than extremely fine grades of wet/dry paper. You can buy these kits online but it's usually a few very small pieces of sandpaper. You're better off finding a hobby shop or the like that carrys sheets of 3M Micro Mesh paper. Without looking it up I don't know where the micro mesh tops out at but I have used some that are 12000 grit. It's not a task to take lightly... it's a lot of hard work and requires a bit of finesse to get a good result. Rather than type out a tutuorial on it do some googling to see what's involved. True you can do this with a tank full of livestock and I have but there is "dust" created and it can irritate fish and corals. I've sanded out several scratches in maintenance client's tanks but I try to keep it to a minimum and run the suction tube of a cannister filter right by where I am working. Steve Link to comment
