insipid Posted February 25, 2004 Share Posted February 25, 2004 I currently have a millenium 2000 wet/dry filter and was wondering would it be better to replace it with a Refugium for filtration. Also would there still be need to have a protein skimmer if a Refugium is used? Link to comment

While wet dry is good for fresh water. in a saltwater environment all it does is drive up the nitrates in your water. While it has benifical effects the nitrates are worse. Dump the wet dry filter media and keep it to break surface tention and/or add a fuge click here to begin your search Link to comment
