RayWhisperer
Welcome to N-R.com. Yes, LED's are able to support clams and SPS. You have a lot of reading to do. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=186982 Link to comment
bngowe
haha yes! i haven't set up a nano since college (2006) and plan to get back into reefing after a few years break. I've noticed my biggest issue prior with nanos was overheating from my lights. Previously for me LEDS were used for the moonlight effect..so maybe i'm wayyy outdated as well. bump to any new information about LEDS. Link to comment
.Newman.
you'll still need a fan to keep your heatsink cool and prevent many LEDs from burning out. but they do run much cooler than other light variants. Link to comment

evilc66
Just park yourself in the Lighting forum, and start reading. You'll be there a while, but, NR is one of the best places to find out information on LEDs. If you have any questions that you can't seem to get answered, you can always PM guys like me that are elbow deep in this stuff Link to comment
