Lalani Posted February 18, 2011 Share Posted February 18, 2011 In the wild there is a dominant female and her mate along with a bunch of non-sexual juveniles living together and I've seen the same done in a couple of large tanks, but if you're talking about keeping clowns in a nano, I would not put more than 2 clowns in the tank. Adding more would most likely result in some being beaten to death, but that's not always the case. When it comes down to it, clownfishes are damsels and we all know how aggressive they can be. And in the store tanks they are usually all non-sexual juveniles so no hierarchy has developed yet. Link to comment
