robert1979
This is probably a stupid question, but the ulva I got from reefcleaners is growing like crazy in my tank. I want to prune it back but not sure of the best way. Do you just cut off some thats growing up toward the light in the water column? Also, the part I cut off will that live? Is it something I could trade to a LFS or give to a friend for their tank? Thanks Link to comment
bitts
ulva is awesome when it come to uptake & growth. as to pruning it. not to much at once but yeah. just take some out & then trade it with whom ever is interested. a friend or two first would be my choice in case I ever needed some back. johnmaloney
you can trim the top, but reducing its horizontal growth as it spreads, (removing the older, keeping the new), is also important. trimming the top is just for aesthetics really. Link to comment
