aldive
I am confused about using "glue" to attach critters to rocks and to glue glue rock together. I searched but did not find what I wanted to know, What kind of glue is recommended and what is the physical process of dluing? Link to comment
TiGs
Use cyanoacrylate gel glue(super glue, loctite, etc). Get the gel kind, it's thicker and easier to work with. Link to comment
trmiv
i'm using loctite quicktite super glue gel, works great. It comes in a nice container with areas you squeeze, makes it easy to apply. Link to comment
aldive
Are there no toxic effects? Actually how do you do the gluing? Link to comment
jmt
Al, I cannot believe you weened over here from explorerforum.com. Jeez. Anyway, gluing on frags usually pretains to those already attachted to a rock or with a respectably hard base. Just put some glue gel on the bottom of the coral and stick it on the live rock. Hold it there for about 30sec. and viola. As for loose mushrooms, rics, etc. take some thule (wedding veil material) and wrap the frag up snug against a peice of LR rubble and place it in the tank. It should attach after that. Then glue it where you want it. -Justin Link to comment
