kriskristofferzen
hey all, I have my sump/fuge all set up for my 20 gallon long, it is a 20 gallon that used to be my freshwater tank. My fuge that I have is approximately 5 gallons. I am looking for lighting. Any suggestions? I have thought of 1. Home depot 6500k flood light over fuge, 2. JBJ refugium light or their 4watt LED. 3. TOM light 4. CPR fuge lighting Any new suggestions or comments on my current picks/ideas? Thanks! I tested my sump today, it worked! sort of. one little leak, so resealed and will test again in 2 days. Link to comment
evilc66
I'd just use 26W CFL PAR lamps. Cheap and effective. Link to comment
kriskristofferzen
i think I decided to go with the cost effective choice, so i looked at home depot today, they have the clamp light socket thingy. but the only flood light above 3500k was 5000K. Will this be enough to grow algae etc. in the fuge? thanks! Link to comment
evilc66
5000K can work, but I don't care for the brand that Home Depot is moving to. I like GE lamps. Faster turn on and warm up, and they come on 6500K. Link to comment
