Deano
This is what I run in mine. Newegg Evercool Silenx are the quiet but in 60mm they only offer 25mm thick ones. You can mod the mounts and make them work but it is a hack just to get them to fit. Link to comment
msujeff
These are the silenx ones. I have two that will be going in when I get my nanotuners led kit. i think newegg will have the best prices you'll find http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835191004 Link to comment
chrisjj625
is that really the only option no one has a 60mm x 10mm fan? Link to comment
msujeff
Here's a list of fans that are under 60x60x25, from my understanding you just need longer screws to make a 60x25 fan fit but I'm not sure if this is true with stock lights, reflector and what not http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835230017 (10mm) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835705033 (10mm) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835119055 (10mm, the one deano put) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835199013 (12mm) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835168002 (15mm) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835221021 (15mm) These just fit your size requirements not necessarily your noise requirements, read the reviews to see how they are. The dBA is listed for all of them as well. Link to comment
Deano
If you are not going to mod the hood and put a bulb over the top of the fans then you could get by with the 25mm one and pitch the reflective cover. But if you try and add a bulb over the fans like I did on mine you will need to mod a 25mm fan to fit deeper into the hood. The easiest way to do this is drill the fan mounting holes larger so that they will slip over the hood mounting post. Drill the the larger hole about 15mm deep this will allow the fan to set down over the hood mounting post instead of on top of them like stock. Of you don't' drill all the way through he fan holes you can just screw the fan down using the stock screws. this iwll leave about 10mm of the stock hole size so you can screw the fan down. I wish I could figure out Sketch Up I would show you what I mean but that program eludes me. Here you go not perfect but I think it will help. This should only need to be done of you are going to mount a bulb over the fans, otherwise as already said just pitch the fan covers and get longer screws. Link to comment
GiantBen
I have the SilneX in my now decomiioned BC29 hood. Nanotuners recommended that I junk the reflector over the fans anyway, to improve airflow. You'll need to getlonger screws. I used shorter ones that only went through one end of the fan and it didn't really work. Link to comment
