Cichlidius Posted February 25, 2004 Share Posted February 25, 2004 if you use a HOB you need a baffle( usually acryillic and placed so the water flows over the top and into the filter compartment) between the impeller and the sand or it won't work for very long. search the threads for HOB refugium or AC300(500) whatever you are using.
