wisoot Posted February 23, 2004 Share Posted February 23, 2004 Hi there I got some live sand from my lfs on 22nd Sunday. It is in a tied up plastic bag. I wonder how long the bacteria can stay alive being kept in the bag since i won't be able to get RO water to start my first tank till 28th Saturday. Any suggestions on how to preserve them please? wisoot Posted February 23, 2004 Author Share Posted February 23, 2004 Hi Offsprg01 I am in scotland and the only place i can get RO water is from LFS which is closes at 5 pm weekday and i am working. : ( This sand is kept with a wee bit of water in a tied-up plastic bag. Is it still okay? They are all seem to be well soaked in the bag just now. Should i make up tap water to keep it in first and scoop them up once i have my RO water? wisoot Link to comment
