bones_bones
Has anyone ever fit a 32 watt retrofit into a 5 gallon minibow? The space is only 12.5". Will it fit? I'm using the 20 watt screw in bulb now, but it's only on one side and looks kind of crappy. Thanks Link to comment

bones_bones
Well, it seems that a lot of folks want to do this. Now, I just wish someone knew whether or not it would fit. Some sites say that the retro kit is 13" and some say 14". Could someone actually measure theirs and tell us how long it is? Link to comment
the_anti_honda
it does take up more then 13 inches of room. you have to remember the cord that goes from the lmap to ballast. Link to comment
the_anti_honda
why dont you guys do a 2x13 watt PC setup and CSL is out of biz why would you want there setup? try a 24watt im not sure how big they are. i belive there are 18 watt and 9 watts also. coral life makes a 20 watt and a 40watt 50/50 mini screw in PC bulb just retro another screw in type plug into the stock hood and run 2x40 or 2x20 watt 50/50 mini PC's this would be more then enough.
