DaveESPI
In all my 7 years of this hobby, I have never seen this before. A customer added a Wellosphyllia Brain coral to their reef. it was fine for 3 months. I got a call this week, I went up to see what was wrong. I thought perhaps it was RTN, but there is no sign of infection, and no smell of death. There is no fish molesting it in the tank. it had plenty of light, and it has not blached, nor has is speued xouxanthalle. It merely looks eaten away in spots, and it recedes. I have one in MY tank from the same batch of brains, and it is fine. The only possible thing I can think of is: Bristle worm at night, Starfish, Disease, Touched by Condi Anemone in various places. Thoughts? Link to comment
tyoberg
Could be stung. What other critter's do you have in the tank? I've had a peppermint shrimp put a hole in a brain coral before. Have you recently upgraded your lights or even replaced any bulbs? Ty Link to comment
