BigRok
Welcome to the final voting of the nano-reef pico forums Pico Methodology contest! In January of 2010, the Pico Methodology contest started in the Pico forum. 38 contestants entered this contest and the following 5 contestants went the full distance. The goal of this contest was to see how well different methods of keeping a pico aquarium work for a viable long term reef tank. Contestants were required to keep a detailed list of all corals, inverts, and fish in their tank and all losses must be recorded. After a 7 month stocking period, the contestants could not add anything to the tank for the final 5 month grow out period. For voting purposes, 2 side by side pictures (official Aug 2010 and Jan 2011 submission photos) are displayed below. Hopefully this will get people voting not only on final outcome and photography skills but they will also take into account how well the system flourished in the grow out period. n0rk
Congrats to everyone else I think we all did pretty well to get where we did and to stick it out given the amount of others that didn't hold on. Now, the fun comes in refining the ideas and making our tanks even better! Link to comment
