ashfordL Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Ok so lately i've been getting cyano and i think its because i don't have enough flow. whenever i try to increase the flow on my sanded or rock, all of my LPS corals get blown all over the place and they shrivel up. How can i increase flow without damaging my corals? Link to comment
KoolSalt Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Any direct flow at a coral will likely cause the corals to shrival up. I don't know if increasing flow will completely elimate or decrease cyano because then it will host itself in other places that there are no flow. At one point I had flow all over a tank and the cyna basically found the head of my powerhead and the back corners to grow. Eventually it won the battle but do more research and hopefully you find something that works for you...Good Luck! Link to comment
