alexwbush
I had this tank laying around and have been out of the hobby for about 5 years. I'd like to get going again. I just want to grow out softies. Is a stock nanocube 12g deluxe (48w of PC) enough for growth of zoas? I am tempted to go to LEDs or MH, but if I do that, I might just get the 28g nanocube. The only thing is... then what do I do with this tank? Just trying to think things through. Link to comment
SaltyFlip
Yea, that should be enough to grow zoas; just make sure you get a good combo of lights. If you do end up getting the 28g, you can turn the 12g into a QT. Link to comment

Right now it's setup with: 1 24w 10k 1 24w actinic would it be better with 1 24w 10k 1 24w 50/50? Link to comment

I've always heard discount actinics when figuring your lighting. However aquarium rumors, like fishing stories, vary from source to source. YMMV. Link to comment

SaltyFlip
I think 2 50/50 should be good or your original 1 10k & 1 Actinic. Yea kidninja's 12 is real nice, check it out when you get a chance. Link to comment
alexwbush
thanks for the replies. I ordered my RO filter and ATO... so I should be getting this tank up and running on stock lights in a bit. I'm going to work with it for a little while and try to work on an LED upgrade. Link to comment
