can anyone identify this yellow furry ball, egg?

i've had my tank set up for a month and all i have so far is live rock and sand, 3 hermits and 2 turbo snails. any idea what this ball/egg might be, theres only one so don't think its snail, found it this morning.

Hard to tell if it's on the glass or the rock.. if it's on the glass, I'd wager snail egg.

its not on the glass, its on a small piece of shell/white rock thats resting on the rock, one of my hermits knocked it off so its now still on the piece of shell/white rock on the sand. what should i do with it?

looks like a ball sponge.. should be fine..

 

name it sponge bob and call it a day

lol, well it is yellow so sponge bob it is. should i put it on the rock or just leave it on the sand?

they just filter feed.. so anywhere is fine

its too small at the mo to tell properly, it looks like the yellow one but not as bright and without the orange tone. will have to see if it gets any bigger.
