obiwan13
I've been gathering all the parts to start a nano out of an exclipse 6 that I have. My concerns are heaters, I have searched through the forums here as well as reefcental and was curious if anyone would like to share additional feedback. (price, brands, watts, etc.) I hope to start it up this weekend Thanks for the help Link to comment
ydtrack
I picked up an 100W titanium heater with the controls on the plug relatively cheaply. I will have to dig through my emails to find the name of the place I bought it. I like this heater as the element is pretty small compared to most heaters. Link to comment
Aiptasia
5 watts per gallon. They make little heaters for small tanks, check with your LFS. I'd recommend one that's fully submersible, such as a visi-therm. Link to comment
obiwan13
thanks, I'm trying to decide between a 50w or a 25w. I figure the 25w might be better? Link to comment
Aiptasia
Probably, once you displace some of the water with live rock, sand and corals, the tank will have less gallons in it than if it were empty. Link to comment
