enlivenrules
Hi all, Any suggestions for lighting my 26 gal bowfront? I was leaning toward a 2x65 aqualight but after reading a lot of the threads on here it seems like MH is the way to go if I can find a way to swing the cost. At this point, I haven't decided if I want to keep some of the harder corals or any clams, but since the consensus is that it upgrading to MH is a pain, lets assume I want to. Anyone have any recommendations on complete fixtures? I could go the DIY route as well. Also, what do I need for wattage? Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated! Thanks Link to comment
Dutch
If you want to go MH you can go either with a 175 watt or a 250w. Lighting really depends on what you want to keep. The most econmical way is to get a retro kit and install it into a canopy. A canopy can be a little trickier to make on a bowfront but isnt too bad. I think the 175w would be enough. How deep is the tank? If its a deeper tank you may want to go with the 250w. Link to comment
