I have some type of clam HH that came on my liverock that opens and closes too. It has a lot of coralline on it now though but I think it's still alive. Nice find! Link to comment

CoralWhisperer Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Some of the smaller boring clams dont look like clams . . . They come in as HHs. I have a few on my rocks. To me, looks like thats what you got, tho the pics aint the greatest. They actually bore into the rock and you cant really see the shell. Harmless filter-feeders(most of the time) and a good addition. Ive noticed a thread about every new creature you see . . . Calm down and remember that biodiversity is a good thing, and Id say that 85-95% of the things you will notice are just fine to have in the tank. For each "horror" story about mantids and flatworms and generally bad things, there should be 4 stories of finding good things . . . but theres not Dont let the internet scare you . . .
