Cocoon looking thing in tank, might be a baby snail???

Hello,

I took a look at my tank today and I noticed a cocoon looking thing in the back of the tank, I really don't have a clue on what it is maybe someone can help on on this one???

 

I search hi and low about snail breeding and baby snails, and I did not see a pic like this

Try researching 'abalone' or 'limpet'.

 

Snail eggs are usually laid in a wavy, string-like pattern.
