peppermint22
Hi! I plan on getting one to complement my lagoon-type setting. Before I get one, I would like some opinion on this coral. Is it a coral that would thrive for long in an enclosed system? Link to comment
nanocat
Beautiful but notoriously high failure rate. I picked up a $10 frag, and that's all I'm willing to spend on a coral that may not live past a year. Not as bad as goniapora, but close from what I read. Link to comment
~_~
Mine lived for around 3 months, then the tissue slowly started to fall off...and that was the end of it. Link to comment
mememe
Flower Pot is very difficult to keep. I tried keeping one in my 120/g well established tank but it didn't make it past 8/months. I would never put one of these in my nano. IMO, don't put something like that in a new 10/g tank. Link to comment
peppermint22
The ones I see at the pet shop look so healthy. They look so full. It's so tempting to buy one (they're relatively cheap) but they look so delicate. Link to comment
birdman204
Alveopora has a much higher survival rate in captivity than goner-pora (as a fellow reefer put it). Do a good search on it and you will find some more info... Link to comment
