Fender963
Okay I am confused guyz!!! I have had uncured live fiji in my tank for over 4 weeks now. Shouldn't it have cured by now? I tested my water today and the resulst were ammonia 0.25ppm nitrate - 3 ppm (guess, it is between 0 and 5) nitrite - 0 am I finished or do I have a long way to go? Am I ready for my first inverts?? Thanx guyz! Link to comment
MKramer
Wait for that ammonia to hit zero. If it doesn't budge in a week, your test kit is probably just inaccurate. But I would give it at least that long. The ammonia could actually be the indicator of a second cycle, so it's relaly in your best interests to hold on just a little longer. Link to comment
anthony812
or just throw an in-expensive frag of any coral in there and test it out..it doesn't hurt..the ammonia at.25 is acceptable..my 40 gallon is often at 0-.25...and nitrate..not a problem..i have my nitrate constent at 10-20ppm and everything seems to be very happy..i have no losses except the incident with my bubble stinging other corals..
