Wiggler
Yesterday I bought some green/purply mushroom corals. I am seeing today that I have an unknown resident in a small hole on the side of the rock. I've tried to take pictures with no success. It's very small, maybe 1/4 the size of a dime with long tentacles. When I take pictues of this creature, the tentacles show up as blue as if they were almost like fishing line to the naked eye. Has anyone come across this before? Pam Link to comment
Wiggler
I'm thinking so. there's about 4 little ones on the rock that have burried themselves into the rock. It's off the phish store for a peppermint shrimp I guess Link to comment
Aiptasia
Don't bother. Just cover up the holes with pre-chewed chewing gum. Besides, peppermint (and dancing) shrimps are going to be impossible to catch if they start harming corals or anemonies, which is what an aiptasia is (anemone). I don't trust them. Just seal up their hidey holes with gum. Please identify the creature first, i'd hate to think you're sealing up a tubeworm. Link to comment
Wiggler
after I read your post I called the local LFS and actually took in my rock, theya re worms and I was told not to cover the holes as they are a benefit to the tank and not going to harm anything Link to comment
