minireefkid
As always my idea for a tank has changed... now i want a 5.5g to put my clownfish in. I know that some people on this forum have clowns in their 5.5s but i was wondering if a clown can live its whole life/size in the tank. Scooter is in my 29g now and is about 2-2.5 inches, i know that they get 3'' but i beleive he wont grow too much more. So anyone have any thoughts on this?? Are only the smallest fish(gobies, chromis, etc.) acceptable for a 5.5g. Also, Scooter is an ocellarus clown, false perk, pig w/e u want to call him thanks scott Link to comment

fish04
Personally I think that only damsels belong in a tank that size...but thats just my opinion. Clowns need more room to move than what a 5.5 provides, even though they do not stray far from their host they need the room of say at least 15 if not a 29. Especially if you have any live rock, there won't be enough room to move in a 5.5. If you want a fish for a 5.5 try a small goby or a small damsel not a clown. But again thats just MO.
