phenom5 Posted February 13, 2004 Share Posted February 13, 2004 okay, live rock will be ordered and arrive next weds. and start cycle. plan on stocking heavy with zoos and ricordea down the road, plus around 3-5 hermits, 3-6 various snails, cleaner shrimp after cycle. should i be looking at just 1 fish? or can 2 work? thinking maybe a bicolor or midas blennie and a royal gramma or black cap basslet... thanks...: Link to comment
nano-nemo Posted February 13, 2004 Share Posted February 13, 2004 most pet stores and mail order places will recommend minimum of 25-30 gal for any fish; however, i have kept a clow fish in a 10 gal for 10 months now with no problems. just make sure the fish stays about 3 inches or less. Addind a second fish is not a good idea, it will really spike the nitrate and ammonia levels Link to comment
Wiggler Posted February 14, 2004 Share Posted February 14, 2004 I myself have a 10g tank runningn which contains a gorgonian (ribbon coral), turbo snail, sandsifter and 1 clown. They are all very happy and content and I haven't had a problem. At one point in time however I was overly excited about adding fish and I had the sandsifter star, clown, puffer and lawnmower blenny. Needless to say, the puffer and lawnmower blenny didn't make it. Link to comment
