Too much evaporation?

Ok my 40b has been set up since wed. I am adding at least a gallon of water per day. Is this normal.

 

Specs

40b open top with 4bulb t5

20l sump with skimmer and 5000k flourecent spot light

This time of year with low humidity thats probably about right. I go through 5 to 6 gallons every 3 days with my 100G myself and 2 to 2.5 gallons a week in my 16G nano.

Ok I'm just used to my bc29 with 1/4 gal per.day

When I had my 40br set up I would go through about 5g every four days with fans blowing across the sump.

i have a 38g w/ 20l sump. mines just under a gallon a day. With the dryer air you will have more evaporation.
