krug1313
So today by chance I watched my female transfer eggs over to my males mouth. So now it's time to get ready. Looking for pointers on how to successfully raise the babies. Ocean Nutrition has this which seems easy enough. http://www.bigalsonline.ca/Fish_Foods-Feed...02.html?tc=fish And thinking of just using one of these for filtration. http://www.bigalsonline.ca/Fish_Filters_Sp...02.html?tc=fish I plan to use a 10 gallon or I also have a 15 long empty also. Should I add a couple pieces of live rock or just run bare system? Anything I'm missing or suggestions. Thanks. Link to comment

krug1313
So what I think I'm going to do is get one of the large breeder nets and put the babies in there and keep them in the main tank. I'll do this for about a month which gives me time to get another tank setup to transfer them in. Anyone see anything wrong with that? I'll be ordering the same food as I put above. Today I went and got some JB waterweld putty and zip ties and made my fake urchin. Odd thing is I put it in the water after 20 min and all my fish went to the sand bed and didn't look so good. I took it out after 5 min and all the fish went back to normal.. I thought this putty was safe? Somewhere I read you have to wait 24 hours to add it but people attach their corals and put it in right away. What am I doing wrong?..lol. Link to comment
