critters in rock

latey i have noticed that there were fish droppings or so i thought on the rocks.i was looking in my tank with a flash light in the dark and saw something weird.there was what looked like the tip of some thing sticking out of the rock that looked kind of orange and it pushed out some waste , more then a fish could at one time.then it went back in the hole.it is pretty big.im sorrt i have no pic and this post is probably useless but i was wondering if anyone else had this: some type of worm that produces fishlike waste.i also have these nocturnal worms that come out and are very long and it looks like they graze on the rocks some have color and some are grey looking.
