DAP
Your DIY skimmer(overflow) is a standard florescent light fixture cover, possibly the kind that comes with a bowfront, right? I am with mattie, does your 20g overflow when you kill the power? It kind of looks like it would be real close, judging by the water level on the strainer. I think everything looks really good though! Link to comment
Ed-N
Man, you got it with the skimmer box. I didn't know it was that easy. Well, I turn the power off everynight since it's just in a testing phase. The beauty off above tank sumps/fuges is that when the power goes off, there are no siphons or anything. The little bit of water in the tube pumping up to the fuge just drains back into the main tank. Ed Link to comment
