darkgumby
I've read here that pods like the dark and macro algae wants light. I am planning a Minibow seven and wonder if it might be a good idea to use 2 Aqua Clear 300s as fuges. The will both fit across the back with a little room to spare. Each would be dedicated to a specific purpose. The one for pods would be totally blacked out. I'd paint the exterior with black spray paint and keep the lid on it. I'll stock it with tank rubble from the LFS live rock tank. On the other fuge I'll leave the lid off and put a nice bright power compact light above it. I'll stock it with a mix of macro algae. What do you think of this plan? Link to comment
Reefer_Buddha
you can have pods and macros all in one. Its that way in my fuge and its lit 24/7 Link to comment
darkgumby
Yeah, I know that. I'm just thinking about the best way to maximize the pod and algae growth. If one likes light and one likes dark then why not give them each the best environment? My original plan was to use an Aqua Clear 500 and do it all in one but then I got to thinking...what if?
