KamDesai
Physical scraping should be unnecessary if the tank parameters are correct. Couple questions: 1) What is your phosphate level. If you don't have a test kit for it, I would advise to go get one. 2) What is your light cycle? 3) Is the tank exposed to direct sunlight? 4) Do you see your hermits eating at the hair algae? newbiefishgirl
Yes I have the test kits. Phospates test zero believe it or not. Lights on about 8 to 10 hrs depending on when I work. No direct sunlight I have blue leg hermits but I dont know if they eat the algae or not. I have not seen them do it anyways. Link to comment
KamDesai
Did you start the tank with distilled as well or did you use tap for some time? How long has your tank been up? Link to comment
newbiefishgirl
kAMDESAII started with tap thinking it was ok... but used distilled for water changes after that. It has been up and running for 10 months now. Link to comment
