tako
Anyone try the new microbe-lift salts yet? http://reefbuilders.com/2010/07/16/microbe...-coming-market/ LFS has this salt for a good price. The description sounds interesting: "The company opted not to use any evaporated seawater ingredients to bring a high degree of purity to its product, instead using only pharmaceutical-grade ingredients. Extra care is being taken to make sure the salts are ground to a similar mesh size to help keep separation and stratification to a minimum." I still have enough reef crystals for a couple months, but wanted to try something different. I have issues getting RC to completely dissolve and I've had a consistently low pH (7.8-8.1). I've tried to everything to bring the pH up without dosing. But everything in the tank seems happy. Link to comment
alex1237
I haven't seen this stuff in a store yet, what's a good price? Just curious how much it goes for. Link to comment
tako
I haven't seen this stuff in a store yet, what's a good price? Just curious how much it goes for. They have a 200g bucket for $60. 50g isn't as cheap, $25, but that's only a few more dollars than reef crystals here. Link to comment
tako
bump with parameters: Alkalinity 2.90 Boron (ppm) 2.9 Calcium (ppm) 450 Chloride (ppm) 17,000 Copper (ppm) 0.0003 Iodide (ppm) 0.08 Magnesium (ppm) 1,350 Molybdenum (ppm) 0.113 pH @20.3 C 8.45 Potassium (ppm) 380 Sodium (ppm) 9,030 Strontium (ppm) 9.8 Sulfate (ppm) 2,180 I like that the pH mixes up so high. It might help me out. The microbe-lift site says it's formulated for use with calcium reactors, but if it mixes up to 450 then I think it should be fine without one. Link to comment
