Amonia problem advice please

Hi i have suffered a filter failure whilst i was away, and now have amonia in my tank, the tank was fully cycled and was doing very well till this weekend, can any one give me any advice, i was thinking of taking my live stock out and putting them in a friend tank if he will let me, and start the cycle process again is this nessary, i have now got the filter working however the protien skimmer is still on order. the tank is still looking misty i am baffled please help thanks

You can have someone baby sit your stock and re-stabilize as ya said...

 

Ya can also do a large WC and continue to do frequent WC's until your params come in line.

 

frequent WC's will slow the cycle and are labor intensive, but it'll work as a last resort.
