Toadstool vs. Devilshand

toadstools usually look like mushrooms. it's a generic term, much like 'dog' refers to beagles and labradors.

 

devil's hand is usually much more specific, refering to lobophytum corals. they kinda look like a gloved hand (especially if the appendages match the number of fingers). they're typically slower growing and more delicate than most toadies, which are very hardy.

 

altho they're both often referred to as leather corals, the toadies really feel like leather whereas the devil's hand usually feels stiff (kinda like a hard styrofoam imo). hth
