jjjo
Anyone have any good ideas on how to mount a par38 over a 12 inch rimless cube? without it looking too ghetto? I am currently trying to set up a sweet smaller nano reef, and want to try out a par38 for lighting, since I havn't heard anything good about 12inch t5s being ready. So PICS of par38 mounts. Hanging the light from the ceiling is also OUT of the question. thanks, jjjo Link to comment
Justind823
You could do a very small piece of track lighting mounted on some conduit. Its what I did for mine but I have 4 par 38's going. This guy has a decent looking fixture on his picotope. I say decent cause I've never really seen a fixture that looks good with a par38 hanging out of it. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...4132&st=160 Link to comment
jgpico
i actually just got done building a mount for my par 38 for my 3 gallon. i just used a piece of conduit, a 10 ft long extension cord, an outdoor light socket, and a pvc elbow. it actually turned out pretty good. better than i thought. i still have to paint the conduit black but here is a quick pic. it looks good in my oppinion and if you do it right it doesnt look ghetto....at least to me lol. let me know what you think.
