insanityprawnboy
I had an ammonia spike 2 days ago and tested today and it went back down. Did thetank cycle? Should I just wait for a diatom bloom then add a CUC? This is for my 10 gallon tank which is my first and I am alittle confused on what has happened and what I should do. Here are my readings Link to comment
claw
I would wait for a diatom bloom. However, looking at your spreadsheet, remember that the cycle goes ammonia, nitrite, then nitrate. It looks like on day 10 the nitrites started going up. Day 12, with no nitrites but some nitrates could be the end of the cycle but you still have some ammonia. I'd way until that is gone. My 10 gallon had no ammonia or nitrites and almost no nitrates before I began adding the CUC. NO RUSHING ALLOWED Link to comment
insanityprawnboy
That is what I guessed due to the nitrates and all that. Any idea when the diatom will "strike"? When did yours appear? I would never rush. I have read too much about crashes on threads. Link to comment
