Skippy03 Posted February 3, 2004 Share Posted February 3, 2004 New 20gL and I need help. I have 20 lb of LR, Penquin 125, seaclone 100(not on yet) and a coral light 50/50. I plan on putting in 2 clowns, anemone, and 2-3 other small fish. I would also like some coral. Do I have enough light and which one should I get??? Link to comment

TheCurriculum Posted February 3, 2004 Share Posted February 3, 2004 you really want 10k and how many watts? if it's a 20w 50/50 you will need to upgrade. lights = 5w to 8w min per gallon. Will support softies like shrooms and zoo's. Don't expect rapid growth. Will not support hard corals or clams I've made a few post on this in the last few days and it comes up daily by people... no big deal... Spend some time going through the old post After spending a few days you will have found you will have learned a lot (in some cases more then you wanted to know) Do a search on 20g lighting for example or other combonations. Look and see what others are using. Think thier tank looks good and supports the type of corals you want... look at how much lighting they are using and general setup.
