Like HyperSorb, Purigen darkens progressively as it exhausts, and is easily renewed by treating with household bleach. Does this mean I can just bleach it at the six month mark and re-use it. StevieT Posted September 24, 2010 Share Posted September 24, 2010 You will have to purchase more, eventually but if you do recharge it can last a very long time. IMO it isn't worth the risk to soak something in bleach than put it back in your tank. It is pretty inexpensive. Link to comment
