2manytanks
since live coral is much more beautiful, why would you want to add dead ? Link to comment
Tempest
You can add a coral skeleton if you want to. Link to comment
hairboy
If your doing the same thing I did as a beginner, that is, throwing in some bleached out dead coral just to add something visually interesting , it wasn't a problem. However after about a month it got all covered in brown and green algae that looked like $#!T so I took it out any way. Try to stack your rock so you have holes and caves etc. Or maybe get a few pieces of Tonga branch LR to spice up the look a bit. Brian. Link to comment
Blinkgyrl2987
LOL. This is kinda funny. I bought a piece of dead bleached out coral when I first started my tank up too! ....you know just so it would look interesting...and yes mine has strated to get a little brown and green... for now that piece is still in my tank but I imagine i will take it out as soon as I start getting live corals.... my hermits sure do like it to crawl on though! Just Thought I would share! ~Megan~~~ Link to comment
