Paleoreef103
Kalkwasser has a very high pH. Only use it sparingly and after you check your alk levels. Link to comment

bluefunelement
Kalkwasser has a very high pH. Only use it sparingly and after you check your alk levels. Along with several nanos I have a 5g QT tank with a ph meter as I wanted to watch it during a hyposalinity treatment. With just tiny additions of some of the TwoLittleFishies PH balance I can keep the Alk at 10 and therefore PH around 8.25. I found any other additive including kalkwasser to be difficult to not over/under shoot the PH. Maybe it's bicarbonate vs regular carbonate and how that pushes PH while adding to AlK point is focus primarily on Alk stability and PH should follow Link to comment
