MatthewStarr
Hi guys, I have for a while been battling PH a bit on the low side. in the 7.8 area. I've never been able to get it in the 8's and keep it there. My calcium and KH are both in good ranges except my PH. My question is what can I use to help increase the PH and keep my calcium and KH constant as well? A 2 part system perhaps? Also Whenever doing water changes or top offs, should the PH of the water being added to the aquarium match the PH in the tank? All input is appreciated. Link to comment
nano427
7.8 is still ok, not too bad. when are you testing? check it right before lights on that should be your lowest ph of the day. also check right before lights out. you can try to allow more fresh outside air into the room where your aquarium is at this could help. you could also look into kalk. better surface agitation could also help.
