sean-820 Posted August 22, 2010 Share Posted August 22, 2010 I just wanted to know from you guys who know macro if the stock halogen (2x10W) would be sufficent for a planted macro tank or if. This is a lightign upgrade that i saw that i think would be good or just mayby get a heatsink and do some HO LEDs. If I did a heatsink with diy leds how many would i need to light the tank for macro with the possibility of corals. Keep in mind the rig would have to be under the hood so its more like a point source directly on the lid needing to light the tank. Something like this Does anybody know of any places wherei can get good leds a heatsink and everything i would need at one place preferably where they assemble too? Link to comment

But would expect that if you met the needs of the corals in the tank. Than this would also meet the macros needs. Link to comment
