Zepo. Posted August 14, 2010 Share Posted August 14, 2010 I started out with a softball size clump of chaeto and it steadily grew to a clump nearly the size of a baseball. Along with the good growth I had a continual red slime problem. I recently checked the TDS of my RO unit and it was 7 so i replaced the filters now its 0 again. Good News the slime is going away. Bad news is that the chaeto is slowly melting away its almost completely gone now. Is this from a lack of nutrients? I thought they only consume nutrients when they grow.. I also have halimeda and codium in the same fuge and they are doing fine. There is 23 hours of light with a 5,500k 25 watt bulb. Link to comment
