You may have heard of the Giant Ocean Tank, a 200,000 gallon tank that is 20 feet tall. You can walk around the tank in a spiral of ramps and you can look down at the tank from the top.

Here are pics from the top of the tank:

The NE Aquarium has a scorpionfish exhibit that is awesome. It has a Barchin, some stonefish, a bunch of Volitans Lionfish, a Porcupine Puffer, and their new Weedy Scorpionfish (Rhinopias frondosa)

They just added this Rhinopias frondosa. Amazing!!!

REBELT1iPICSANDAQUARIUMPICS298.jpg

And here is the other reef tank. This tank is huge!!! It has a huge mixture of corals and fishes. It has many wrasses, clowns, gobies, blennies, and others. Some gobies in this tank are extremely rare and cryptic.

Very nice pictures. Were you shooting mostly on automatic or did you try any of the manual settings?

I suggest when you get a chance, if you live out in the country or can get out there with a tripod at night with no lights around to take some star shots. It's sooo much fun. I made a thread for my random pics to.

Keep them coming I would like to see more.

They were shot in both. I used manual for the top down pics and most of the fish shots.

I'm absolutely going to do that when I get my tripod :)

I'll check out your thread!

I'm done with bthe NE Aquarium pics but videos will be tomorrow.

Chheck out my Photography Thread. In should get some new pic soon (well from a month ago) and then I will take new pics of mostly bugs.

It has been awhile since a went but if I remember correctly I do not think it does. At the aquarium they have a whole separate section dedicated to coral!

Not a whole different section but they have two corals reef tanks. Both are incredible. The second one is stunning. It has such a huge variety. I mean tangs to urchins to starfish to stony corals to NPS to gobies to blennies to crabs to softies to everything. Same with the other reef tank.
